The Story
Setting the Scene:,
In the enchanting Lavender Beds housing district, beneath the blooming trees and gentle breeze, Flourish & Fable sits lovingly disguised behind its front, Fabled Tomes. A quaint bookstore that appears to be a haven for book lovers, its true magic lies beyond a clever façade, where whispers of tales weave into the atmosphere of a hidden speakeasy filled with exquisite concoctions and warm camaraderie. The Owners: Jarrick Rolvasch and D’lyhai Vanoh,
Jarrick Rolvasch is a large, grumpy Hrothgar whose world-weary demeanor and curt responses often intimidate others. In his late 40s, Jarrick has weathered many storms—both metaphorically and literally. Once a member of the Queen’s Guard, he was expelled under uncertain circumstances, leading him down a path of solitude when he chose to forsake his previous life and embrace nature in the depths of the Twelveswood. His gruff exterior is matched only by his fierce loyalty to those few he holds dear, one of them being the petite Miqo'te named D'lyhai Vanoh. Born amidst the vibrant Sangoli Desert, D’lyhai's upbringing was enveloped in the warmth and prosperity of her father’s leadership. After a sheltered life full of affection, her parents recognized the need for D'lyhai to explore the wider world to grow beyond her naivety. At 25, D’lyhai is sweet, sassy, and unabashedly curious—her exuberance starkly contrasts with Jarrick’s hardened heart. After leaving her home, she found refuge in New Gridania, where she began to forge her own life amidst the hustle and bustle. There, amidst the scents of freshly baked bread and blooming flowers, she crossed paths with Jarrick during one of his brief trips into the city.A Gift from the Heart: The Birth of Fabled Tomes,
Having witnessed D’lyhai’s passion for literature and her naivety's charm, Jarrick made a life-changing decision: he purchased the storefront that would become Fabled Tomes. For Jarrick, this wasn’t just a gift but a proclamation of love, showing D’lyhai that he wanted her to have a sanctuary where she could nurture her dreams and passions. He allowed her creative freedom to design and decorate the space, and she poured her heart into it—the shelves filled with colorful tomes, read-aloud corners, and warm lighting all echo the joyful spirit she embodied.Jarrick’s involvement was mainly behind the scenes to ensure the small cat did not harm herself while designing and helping her work through what the store would be. Still, as the building took on an air of magic under D’lyhai’s touch, he silently appreciated its solace—a home away from his rugged existence in the woods.

The blond roughian rascal, Half-Keeper/Seeker Miqo'te, whose Jade eyes twinkle with mirth while her mouth is full of wit and humor when it's not full of snark and drink. She's got a fun, feisty, freaky, and flirty streak and in her new role here as Manager might be more of a Fish out of Water in this mystical library. Rascally, taunting, impish, rowdy, but generally positive and encouraging, not truly mean-spirited but definitely hooligan at heart. The best word to summarize her is that she is truly a troublemaker. About Five fulms, 1 ilms in height. 110 ponze with green eyes, blonde hair, and pale skin. From her bandaged nose, scar above her left eye, and facial markings to her pierced pink nipples, the toned form of the nubile Miqo is covered in scars and pits in her skin from injuries acquired while dedicating more of her life to adventuring. Also, She does carry the claws of a lion, betrayed by her somewhat unique tail among the Keeper's of the Moon.

Iroha is an undead au'ra who survives purely on the aether she attains from another person's blood. She is middle aged, toned, and unnaturally strong, though she likes to pretend she isn't. She's also not a brat, no matter what anyone says. What's this about 'brats always deny they are brats'? Preposterous! She prefers to not dwell on her past, unless she trusts someone entirely. Her body is held together by a symbiotic voidsent, who has altered her scales and body to be constantly changing. She is never the same person biologically as she was a day before. Cells don't simply die, they become consumed and morphed, the cycle of death and rebirth forever turning inside and outside of her. At first glance, Jynx appears like any normal person. However, getting to know here can be tricky. By all technicality, she isn't from the same period of time, or even the same universe. She hails from a place called Aeris, somehwere across time and dimensions. Ending up in Eorzea, she's taken quite a liking to its people and cultures. She now spends her days running a Cafe and doing photography to capture the fleeting lives of those around her. She has many a secrets that only those she fully trusts are allowed to know. How it works
Drink the Tea or Coffee:
The process starts when someone finishes their drink, leaving behind some liquid and residue at the bottom of the cup.Swirl the Cup:
The person may swirl the cup a little to mix the leaves or grounds, and then they turn it upside down on a saucer. This helps the residue settle and create patterns.Look for Shapes:
Once the cup is turned over, the shapes left behind can be interpreted. For example, a shape that looks like a heart might symbolize love or a good relationship, while a shape that looks like a circle could mean completion or a cycle.Interpretation:
Each shape is assigned a meaning based on tradition or personal beliefs. The reader develops their interpretations based on what they see, similar to how a fortune teller might read cards or palms.
Purpose
People often use tasseography as a fun or mystical activity to gain insights into their lives, decisions, or future events, making it more of a reflection on one’s hopes and dreams rather than a strict prediction of what will happen. It's a way to explore emotions and thoughts through creative interpretation!
